Bible’s back — after school in West Virginia

PRINCETON, W.Va.  — A new after-school club is being introduced at Mercer County schools that will offer a Bible class to elementary students.

“After much consideration and a strong interest from the community, we have decided to introduce after-school Bible Clubs,” said Amy Belcher, a member of the county’s Bible in the Schools program. “We are working on a phase-one pilot program that will start sometime this fall semester in a limited number of elementary schools, grades 3-5. This will be a weekly after-school Bible Club.”

Belcher said it has nothing to do with the school system, other than using the facilities as any club or organization can request to do.
