WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Last week, the halls of the Greenbrier Resort were filled with visitors that contrasted from the usual hotel patrons: gamers.
Bethesda Game Studios, one of the most notable video game developers in the world, held a special event at the hotel in honor of the upcoming release of their newest game, Fallout 76. Attendees were given exclusive access to an early version of the game, and were able to play in one of the ballrooms that had been set up with screens and gaming consoles.
The Fallout franchise is a multimillion dollar grossing game series set in a post-apocalyptic 1950’s style America. Fallout 76 will be set entirely in the state of West Virginia, and will feature maps of popular locations from around the state, including the Greenbrier Resort and the city of Lewisburg.
