BECKLEY, W.Va. — Tamarack Executive Director Tammy Coffman spent her first few days in her new position learning her lefts from her rights as she maneuvered around the building’s intricate maze-like circle lined with the works of more than 1,000 talented artisans from throughout the Mountain State.
“It takes a while to come through here and really pay attention to all the ‘pods,’ as they call them, that feature different artists from throughout the state,” Coffman said. “It’s fascinating.”
Coffman, who just completed her third week in her new position, came to Tamarack after spending 20 years in the same role at the Capitol Market in Charleston.
