PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park will host sights and sounds from the American Revolution on Saturday and Sunday.
The Northwest Department of the Brigade of the American Revolution will be encamped on Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park on Saturday and Sunday
The purpose of the Brigade is to portray the life and times of the common soldier of the American Revolution. They will be demonstrating and describing a variety of activities appropriate to the time period, such as the difference between rifles and muskets, the clothing of the period, artillery, music of the period, and demonstrations of linear tactics as used on the battlefield during the Revolutionary War.
