Absentee voting for General Election begins today in W.Va., Va.

BLUEFIELD, W.Va.  — Absentee voting for the Nov. 6 General Election starts on Friday, Sept. 21 in W.Va. and Va. To vote absentee in Va., registered voters must meet one of the 20 eligibility requirements listed on the Va. absentee ballot application. There are five possible qualifications to be an absentee voter in W.Va.

The Mercer County Clerk’s Office starts mailing out absentee voting forms today, according to Deputy Clerk Marie Hill.

“Anybody who wants one can call here at 304-487-8338 or 8339,” Hill said. “They’re for anyone who’s going to be out of town, disabled or simply has difficulty getting to the polling places.”
