34th West Virginia Maple Syrup Festival coming to Pickens

PICKENS, W.Va.  — Maple syrup, pancake feeds, demonstrations and more will take place this weekend at the 34th annual West Virginia Maple Syrup Festival.

This annual festival, coming Saturday and Sunday to Pickens in rural Randolph County, has become famous in West Virginia and surrounding states, according to a press release from the Pickens Improvement and Historical Society. The attendance increases every year no matter the weather — which can be unpredictable in March.

The citizens of Pickens are proud of the fact that even though the community is small, everyone pulls together along with friends and family to sponsor the grand affair that is enjoyed by so many.
