CHARLESTON, W.Va. — In a matter of 24 hours, Huntington native Evan Jenkins went from being a member of the United States House of Representatives to a temporary justice on the West Virginia Supreme Court.
Jenkins, 58, took the oath of office to serve on the court Monday morning, starting off what will be at least a 5-week term on the court.
U.S. District Judge Thomas Johnston administered the oath of office to Jenkins in the state Supreme Court chambers.
