BECKLEY, W.Va. — According to the National Weather Service, the impact of Alberto will be felt in the Mountain State until at least midweek.
With heavy rains already clogging some of the state’s creeks and saturating the ground, there is a heightened opportunity throughout the state for flash flooding.
In the northern part of the state, central Randolph and northeastern Pocahontas counties were under a flash flood warning until Monday evening.
