CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Marion, Grant and Pleasants counties saw the most job growth of all West Virginia counties in August, according to Secretary of State Mac Warner’s office.
Warner’s office’s Business and Licensing Division reported that Pleasants County had 1.94 percent business growth, going from 206 to 210; Grant County had 1.83 percent business growth, going from 493 to 502; and Marion County had 1.80 percent business growth, going from 2,225 to 2,265.
According to the Warner’s office, 750 new businesses were incorporated or started in the state during the month of August 2017.
