NAUGATUCK, W.Va. – There’s a viral video going around on Facebook showing Tug Valley High School’s Jace Hale, a Panther basketball standout, playing golf at Williamson’s Lefty Hamilton Park.
Hale takes a nice chip shot on the beautifully cut greens and the ball rolls very close to the hole.
Wait a minute?
Golf at Lefty Hamilton?
Golf?
The historic Lefty Hamilton Park, next to the just as historic Williamson Fieldhouse, has been home to baseball and football – first for Williamson High School, and now for Williamson Middle School – for many decades.
But golf?
No. Not at least until now.
