PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — Coplin Health Systems invites all to a special event to honor those who have served and to kick off Summer 2025.
The Summer Salute Veterans Event will take place Saturday, June 14, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Spencer’s Landing, 2800 River Rd., Vienna, W.Va. Coplin Health Systems is sponsoring this event to celebrate the region’s veterans and their families. The event is open to anyone in the community who has served or who supports those who have.
The event will feature food trucks, live music, resource booths, and child-friendly activities.
“We are excited to sponsor the Summer Salute Veterans Event for our region’s military veterans and their families. The event is open to all, and our goal is to provide a great way to show community support for military families in a fun and safe atmosphere. We also want to provide a great way to honor military service while connecting individuals to available resources or services in the community that they may not be aware of. Each resource vendor has also been asked to have a fun experience at their tables to further focus the event on family,” said Sarah Casseday, Director of Behavioral Health at Coplin Health Systems, who is directing and organizing the event. “Also, summer is about having fun, and we have definitely planned a fun day for all.”
The Summer Salute Veterans Event supports Coplin Health Systems’ mission to serve the health and wellness needs of its communities in western West Virginia and eastern Ohio.
Retail and non-profit vendors are invited to rent booths at the event. Booths will be rented on a first-come, first-served basis, and tables, chairs, and electricity will not be provided. Each vendor is asked to provide a child-friendly activity for families at their booth.
A vendor fee is not required; however, Coplin Health Systems kindly asks for a donation from each vendor. All donations will go towards the WVU Parkersburg Veterans Resource Center. The online booth application and additional information can be found at https://coplinhealth.com/event/summer-salute-veterans-event.
