Statement from West Virginia Hospital Association regarding $40 million in grant funding for rural hospitals

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The following statement is made on behalf of the West Virginia Hospital Association (WVHA) regarding $40 million in grant funding approved for rural hospitals by the Governor and Legislature, and now available for application.

“We are deeply grateful to Governor Justice and the Legislature for this vital rural hospital grant funding. This investment will further strengthen our health care infrastructure and ensure more West Virginians have access to quality medical care close to home. Rural health care facilities are lifelines for our communities, and this support will help our hospitals continue serving patients while helping modernize our capabilities to meet growing health care needs. By investing in our rural health care facilities, Governor Justice and the Legislature are making a direct impact on the lives of countless families and helping to build a healthier future for West Virginia.”
