MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Orr’s Farm Market general manager Katy Orr-Dove thought to the apple trees that line the farm, the serenity of the fruit-bearing trees.
“It’s such a beautiful area for people to visit,” Orr-Dove said. “It’s very peaceful out there in the orchard. Because it’s our first year, it’s not really busy out there yet, and there’s still a lot of openings for apple picking on our schedule. It’s a nice way to relax and enjoy the views. The trees are so pretty right now.”
That peaceful section of the farm was recently recognized nationally after Fox News named Orr’s one of the top 10 best orchards in the country to visit.
The honor came as a surprise, especially given Orr’s didn’t open it’s pick-your-own experience until this year, a multi-year project finally coming to life for visitors to the property…
