Survey of available downtown Wheeling space gets underway

WHEELING, W.Va. — Wheeling Heritage officials hopes to create a website through which a person using a computer in California, Alaska, Thailand, or anywhere else can immediately see how much space is available in a particular downtown structure.

For Joseph Touvell, a 1988 Wheeling Park High School graduate, his work is a way to help revitalize his native city.

“I remember, as a kid, downtown Wheeling was flourishing,” he said. “We want to help get it back to that.”
