Media Advisory: WVU Academic Media Day set for Oct. 17

Agenda for afternoon event features topics such as polarization and online extremism, the future of energy, the science of fungi and dark design

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia University Relations has issued the following media advisory:

 It’s time again for Academic Media Day at West Virginia University, the state’s only R1, or very high research, university.

Join us from 1-5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, at the Media Innovation Center as we highlight ongoing research at WVU.

Academic Media Day, designed specifically for journalists, is back after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and features an agenda featuring faculty whose work spans topics such as polarization and online extremism, the future of energy, the science of fungi and dark design.
