MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WV News) — For Cody Clayton Eagle, fate works in mysterious ways. The 19-year-old Morgantown native is preparing for big things.
He will be touring throughout the tri-state area for the remainder of the year, and likely into the next. He’s negotiating with a record label and is expected to sign the contract soon. There are self-released songs available on Spotify. There’s a fan base that knows who he is and eagerly awaits what’s next.
How did Eagle get here? One could make the obvious assumption that it was Eagle’s 2019 turn on the singing competition show “American Idol.” Being watched by millions on network television as you perform in front of judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Ritchie can only be seen as a positive career boost.
If it wasn’t the star-turning performance on TV, then what is responsible for Eagle’s success? …
