W.Va. Attorney General Morrisey statement on death of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey releases the following statement on the sudden death of U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia.

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. As the bedrock of the nation’s highest court, Scalia was a true visionary, a conservative lion and a legal giant who tirelessly defended the rule of law.

“Scalia’s death marks a disheartening day for our nation. I join countless West Virginians and Americans in offering prayers and condolences for Scalia’s wife and family. May God comfort each and every loved one he leaves behind.”
