FAIRMONT, W.Va. — In this country, we do have the freedom of speech.
But it’s very important to understand that though you can say what you want to say, there can be consequences. The old explanation of shouting “fire” in a crowded theater is only just the beginning of that. It’s important to understand the limitations because there can be civil or criminal consequences.
You cannot lie.
You can’t advertise in a false way.
You cannot be obscene.
You cannot incite violence or criminal activity…
