Expect more gun sales with president’s actions

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — As executive orders from President Obama go, the orders on guns he issued Tuesday are less overreaching than many of his previous attempts.

Unlike his previous overreaching orders, however, expect these to have little effect on their intended targets.

In fact, the only real effect President Obama’s 10 gun-related executive orders are likely to have are they, like his statements on this topic, will boost gun sales.

“No American leader has done more for gun sales since King George III,” wrote the Wall Street Journal in a Wednesday editorial, referring to the British monarch whom the American colonists revolted against and declared independence from in 1776.
