What does conservatism mean in 2016 election?

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Today, many West Virginians of both political parties will go to their local precincts and cast ballots in the 2016 primary election. Although Democrats still have two remaining choices for president, Republicans, it seems, are stuck with Donald Trump.

But does the billionaire business mogul hold conservative values? It doesn’t seem like it.

“Trump has expressed sympathy for a single-payer system of socialized medicine, far to the left of Obamacare,” columnist Charles Krauthammer recently wrote for the National Review. “Trump lists health care as one of the federal government’s three main responsibilities (after national security); Republicans adamantly oppose federal intervention in health care. He also lists education, which Republicans believe should instead be left to the states.”

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg…
