Clinton, Trump best candidates for President

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Normally, by the time the West Virginia primary occurs, the Democratic and Republican Party candidates for president have achieved the number of committed delegate votes and the two opponents to face off in the November general election has been determined.

But this has been far from a normal primary election year. In fact, thanks to the seemingly endless Fox News and CNN presidential debates that started back in the fall, this seems like the election process that has no end. As a result, we probably know more about the candidates — good and bad — than most voters care or need to know.

On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton likely will have secured the nomination before West Virginia’s primary election on May 10. But that doesn’t mean that our votes and voices don’t matter.
