Outdoor Channel to air show on Hatfield-McCoy trail

BRAMWELL, W.Va. — A television show featuring Mercer County’s branch of the Hatfield-McCoy ATV trail is scheduled to air today and Saturday before becoming available to local agencies promoting tourism.

In June, a team of three from Dirt Trax Television toured the Bramwell area and shot an episode about the Pocahontas Trail, Mercer County’s branch of the Hatfield-McCoy Trail. Dirt Trax is a North American-based show that’s based in Canada. Most of the show’s production work is done there, but most of the travel shows are shot in the United States.

The show’s host, A.J. Lester, said during the visit that he had been visiting the Hatfield-McCoy Trail for the past seven years and up to three times each year.

 The show is scheduled to air at 6:30 a.m. today and Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on the Outdoor Channel.
