Marion County library first in WV with free streaming

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — The Marion County Public Library is the first in the state to offer free streaming access for card-holders.

The Marion County Public Library has partnered with Hoopla Digital to allow library card-holders to instantly explore, borrow and enjoy content on their smartphones, tablets and computers.

 Jessica Batten, the public relations manager at the Marion County Public Library, said she believes the partnership is important to the community.

“We are really excited about getting Hoopla because it’s an opportunity for patrons who might not even be able to leave their house to be able to access movies, TV shows, eBooks and our favorite part is comics,” she said.

Batten said getting access to Hoopla is simple.

“It is super easy to get access to Hoopla. There are very few steps to it,” Batten said. “So it’s super fast, pretty painless and you can get started right away…
