MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Periodic lane closures and other delays will begin today, Feb. 15, on Interstate 79 as work continues for a new interchange between Westover and Star City.

The West Virginia Division of Highways will begin placing 16 concrete beams this week for a new bridge that will cross over the interstate at Exit 153. Cranes will be used to put the beams in place, causing nighttime delays and closures through Feb. 12 and again next week, from Feb. 22-24.

Major delays should be expected from 7 p.m.-6 a.m. between Exit 152, Westover, and Exit 155, Star City. Work is planned as follows…
