HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — West Virginia carries only five electoral votes, two more than the amount of times President Barack Obama has visited while in office just 80 miles from Martinsburg. In the grand scheme of nationhood, Huntington lawyer Paul T. Farrell Jr. said the Mountain State has been forgotten and belittled to more like a pile of rocks.

That’s why, Farrell said, he filed to run for President of the United States.

“I got tired of West Virginia not having a voice,” Farrell said. “Not only do we not have a voice, we’re getting stepped on and nobody is paying attention to what it’s doing to our economy.”
