Harrison commissioner faces felony indictment

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Harrison County Commissioner Bernie Fazzini has been indicted on four felony counts by a Harrison County grand jury.

Count 1 accuses Fazzini of submitting a false and fraudulent Harrison County purchase requisition with attached false and fraudulent receipts to the Harrison County Commission. The indictment alleges Fazzini intended to “enable himself or others to obtain money to which he was not entitled.”

Wrongdoing in Count 1 is alleged to have occurred Aug. 17, 2011, in Clarksburg.

Count 2 alleges Fazzini submitted a false and fraudulent Harrison County purchase requisition to the Harrison County Commission on Sept. 26, 2011, in Clarksburg. It alleges Fazzini “altered, amended and falsified the form and reimbursement receipts.”

It also alleges Fazzini attached “false and fraudulent receipts to the County Commission of Harrison County with the intent to enable himself or others to obtain money to which he was not entitled…
