ATHENS, W.Va. — The Concord University Board of Governors has selected Dr. Kendra Boggess as the university’s 12th president, contingent upon approval by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, university officials announced late Tuesday evening.
The action was taken during the board’s meeting Tuesday on the Athens campus.
Boggess is currently serving as Concord’s interim president. She has served in that position since July 1, 2013, and she was one of three finalists for the presidency of Concord following a nationwide search.
