CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Vice President Mike Pence is scheduled to be in Putnam County Saturday afternoon, according to the Putnam County sheriff and a federal flight plan.
The flight restriction released by the Federal Aviation Administration, which is in effect from 3:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., said aircraft supporting “the office of The Vice President of the United States” will be flying through Yeager Airport in Charleston.
Putnam County Sheriff Steve Deweese said the vice president will be visiting Foster Supply, owned by Putnam County Commissioner Ron Foster. Delegate Geoff Foster, R-Putnam, also works for the business. Foster is married to Delegate Nancy Foster, R-Putnam.
Deweese said the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department is providing security for the event.
Geoff Foster declined to comment on the event. Calls to Ron Foster went unanswered Thursday.
The FAA was unable to comment on the flight restriction.
