Sheetz to pick W.Va. bakery to supply pepperoni rolls to W.Va. stores

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Convenience store chain Sheetz will select a West Virginia company to supply its pepperoni rolls for its West Virginia stores, a corporate official told The Exponent Telegram on Thursday.

Sheetz spokeswoman Tarah Arnold said the company is in the process of meeting with vendors.

“We haven’t made a specific decision on a company yet, but it will be a company from West Virginia,” Arnold said.

Over the past week, multiple media outlets have reported on Sheetz’s plans to drop Clarksburg’s Rogers and Mazza Bakery as a pepperoni roll supplier.

Arnold indicated that the public outcry from that decision — which largely revolved around the idea that Sheetz’s pepperoni rolls should be supplied by a West Virginia company — will factor into which vendor the company selects.
