FAIRLEA, W.Va. — It can be difficult to find a seat at one of the State Fair of West Virginia’s most popular attractions this week.

The bleachers begin filling up as much as 30 minutes ahead of each of the three daily performances, and a thick standing room only crowd fills in just behind it.

Infectious music pumps through the speakers, keeping eager fairgoers at bay until the fun starts.

And on occasion, a glimpse of one of the stars is offered as she wiggles her way across the stage, or takes a peak from one of two large water tanks on either side.

Then finally, it’s places, as Kimmie, Sierra and Rosie take their spots, ready to dance, thrill, educate, and create a few waves, of course, in Sea Lion Splash.
