WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — It’s officially football season.

The New Orleans Saints will open training camp at The Greenbrier Sports Performance Center this morning at 8:50 a.m., for an approximately two-hour practice, followed by an evening walkthrough beginning at 4:30 p.m.

“They put in a lot of work to get ready for us to be here, and then once we’re here, we get the absolute best service we can get,” Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said of The Greenbrier in his pre-camp media session Wednesday. “It’s part of what makes The Greenbrier such a great place for us to hold training camp.

“(Saints owners) Mr. and Mrs. (Tom) Benson arrived (Wednesday). He’s had a tough offseason, but he’s really excited about the season, and we’re looking forward to a great year.”

Year No. 2 for the Saints in the mountains of Greenbrier County will be a big one…
