PRINCETON, W.Va. — A multitude of hammers could be heard through the valley as church volunteers continued construction on a new worship center at Convenant Baptist Church in Princeton.
Over 100 people from different states came together to the site in Princeton as part of the Bethel Baptist Builders newest project.
“This is a mission group,” Convenant Baptist Church Pastor Kevin Howerton said. “They’re based out of Linden, Alabama. Every year they get together and go build a church at some place in the United States. And then they go to a different state and they recruit people from that church to join them. Here today, we’ve got people from Alabama, Oklahoma, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi. They’re from all over. These people don’t know each other well, but they’ve come to serve the Lord.”
Howerton said the Bethel Baptist Builders are building the worship center completely free of charge…
