MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Michael Cooper posed a simple question to Bria Holmes after his Atlanta Dream selected the former West Virginia women’s basketball star in the first round of the Thursday, April 14, WNBA draft.
“Do you have your game shoes on for defense?” the Dream head coach asked.
Holmes smiled.
