BECKLEY, W.Va. — West Virginia American Water (WVAW) has filed an application with the Public Service Commission of West Virginia to raise its rates.
The proposed hike is aimed at producing an additional $32.69 million a year for the company, or an increase of 24 percent.
That increase will amount to some $11.67 extra for the average customer per month.
