The Dominion Post

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — On July 9, Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.) will host a rally at the Morgantown Event Center, to urge Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) not to support the Republican legislation he says will do enormous harm to the people of her state and the nation.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.) will host a rally at the Morgantown Event Center on July 9.

The Care Not Cuts Rally will be in the Platinum Ballroom of the event center, at Three Waterfront Place.

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged. To RSVP, go to https://go.berniesanders.com/page/event/detail/other/gpghmq. Admission is first come, first served.

Sanders will rally the crowd to join the fight against the repeal of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). According to Sanders, repeal of the ACA would throw as many as 22 million Americans off health insurance, and would spell disaster for states such as West Virginia and Kentucky, that are hard hit by the opioid crisis.

Later on Sunday, Sanders will travel to Kentucky, to rally the people of that state to demand that Republican Senate Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) not go forward with his effort to repeal the ACA.
