Morgantown’s MountainFest revs through weekend

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.  — MountainFest kicked off its 12th year July 20, bringing motorcyles, music and more to Monongalia County.

The motorcycle rally runs through July 23, with most festivities at Mylan Park and nearby Triple S Harley-Davidson. Organizer Jamie Summerlin expects 60,000-70,000 attendees this year.

MountainFest vendors open at 11 a.m. July 21. Live music on the main stage kicks off with The Davisson Brothers at 3 p.m., followed by Frank Foster at 5 p.m. and Hank Williams Jr. at 7:15 p.m.

The Triple S stage hosts three shows — Knuckleduster at 11 a.m., Double Barrel Dixie at 1:30 p.m., and Guilty Pleasure at 4 p.m.

Single-day tickets can be purchased at wvmountainfest.com or at the MountainFest Welcome Tent, at Triple S Harley-Davidson.
