MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — According to U.S. Rep. Alex X. Mooney, R-W.Va., there’s no doubt that the economy is working.
“There is one thing people cannot disagree with — the economy is doing very well,” Mooney said at the Region 9 Planning and Development Council quarterly meeting held at the Eastern Regional Airport on Monday.
Mooney credits President Donald Trump’s tax bill signed in December that included cutting the U.S. corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 21 percent, a move designed to lure businesses outside of the U.S. to set up shop here.
