Media Alert: WVDOT Secretary Smith, Contractors of America call press conference

Charleston, W.VA.  – West Virginia Department of Transportation Secretary Tom Smith will join Ken Simonson, chief economist for the Associated General Contractors of America, as well as the WV Contractors Association as the AGC discusses construction job data and the importance of a state infrastructure program.

Simonson will discuss construction job losses in Charleston and other metro areas and outline how a proposed new state infrastructure program will boost employment in the industry. Simonson will release the new construction employment data and outline how proposed a state infrastructure program will help boost local employment.

Following the announcement, Simonson and Secretary Smith will be available to answer questions from the media.
