Herald-Dispatch of Huntington looking for sports copy editor

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The Herald-Dispatch, a locally owned, award-winning daily newspaper in Huntington, W.Va., is seeking a motivated journalist with sports experience for a full-time position as a sports copy editor.

 

The ideal candidate should have at least three years of experience in news design, a firm grasp of AP style and grammar, and a knowledge of sports. The candidate also should be comfortable with Adobe software such as InDesign and have a degree in journalism or equivalent work experience.

 

The evening position entails working closely with the sports and news editors to design and lay out the daily sports section as well as any special sports publications throughout the year.
