CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia School Building Authority Monday approved major improvement project funds for Fayette County Schools.
Fayette County had put in a request for funds that would build a six-classroom addition to Midland Trail High School that will then allow for the closure of Ansted Middle School.
The amount of the request was $1 million with $200,000 matching local funds.
The current Fayette County facilities plan calls for Midland Trail to become a Pre-K to 8 school with the combined enrollment of Ansted Elementary, Ansted Middle and Divide Elementary…
