The Inter-Mountain
DAVIS, W.Va. — A free public program where participants can learn to identify the wild plants and trees they can eat is coming up this Saturday.
Mark Chapin, from Mountaineer Wilderness LLC, will show audience members what’s in season, all the edible parts of a plant and where to find them. Whether folks are planning to learn survival skills or just interested in foraging in their neighborhood, the Wild Edible Plants & Trees program will offer interesting, useful information about nature’s bounty.
The presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday at Canaan Valley Resort & Conference Center. Two additional presentations are set for 7 p.m. Jan. 13 and Feb. 17.
