WVMA announces Marcellus and Manufacturing Development Conference and 100-year anniversary

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Representatives from the West Virginia Manufacturers Association (WVMA) announced this week they will be hosting the Marcellus and Manufacturing Development Conference (MMDC) in conjunction with this year’s West Virginia Construction and Design Exposition.
One of the region’s largest manufacturing events, the MMDC will take place March 25 and 26 at the Charleston Civic Center, combining the former WVMA Leadership Summit and Marcellus-to-Manufacturing Conference.

“This is a very exciting time for manufacturing in West Virginia,” said Rebecca Randolph, president of WVMA.  “The Marcellus and Manufacturing Development Conference will provide companies and industry leaders the opportunity to gain information about West Virginia’s development and how much our state has to offer.”

The two-day event will allow attendees to experience both the Marcellus development and manufacturing development tracks through several sessions. These include seminars on downstream manufacturing, the future of plastics, and managing environmental safety and health issues. The conference is free of charge, but registration is required. To register, visit www.wvexpo.com.

As part of the MMDC, the WVMA will be celebrating the organization’s 100-year anniversary. WVMA will be hosting many evening activities, at additional reasonable costs, including a special celebration dinner to honor the heritage of the organization.
