Karr appointed interim executive director of Mountaineer Food Bank

GASSAWAY, W.Va. — Mountaineer Food Bank has a new leader:

The board of directors of Mountaineer Food Bank — which currently serve over 600 programs in 48 counties in West Virginia — appointed Dave Karr of Grand Ledge, Mich., as the interim executive director. Karr is a certified fund raising executive with nearly 32 years of food banking experience.
In making the announcement today (Dec. 18, 2014),  MFB President Julie Harris, of Morgantown, said, “Having someone with Mr. Karr’s skill and experience will serve Mountaineer Food Bank and our partners well. We look to Mr. Karr to provide stability and leadership as plans for the future of the organization unfolds.”
Headquartered in Gassaway, MFB provides with food and personal care items for food pantries, soup kitchens, day care centers, shelters, after-school programs, backpack feeding programs and senior programs across West Virginia.
