Taking the stage at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jenkins said his speech ended a long day, as he had been up until 3 a.m. watching election returns, traveled to Pocahontas County earlier Wednesday for a meeting on the future of the Greenbank Observatory before attending the opioid forum in Charleston.
