The Property Rescue Initiative (PRI) provides $1 million in loan funds, and technical assistance to help West Virginia’s communities remove or rehab dilapidated buildings.
Anyone interested in accessing a portion of this $1 million PRI funding pool to address dilapidated buildings in their community is encouraged to attend one of five PRI workshops in the coming months:
• Weirton – January 22
• Berkeley Springs – February 5
• Huntington – February 19
• Beckley – March 18
• Buckhannon – April 1Each full day workshop will feature guest speakers, interactive sessions on stakeholder engagement and the BAD Buildings process, and a panel of experts who will discuss creative ways to repay loans and reuse problem properties. Registration is $15.Attendees are encouraged to bring several people from their community, especially to attend the two breakout sessions.
