Stories come to life in Huntington on reading day

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Kids at the Children’s Place were transported to a place where ham and eggs are green and towns can exist in a small speck of dust as part of National Read Across America Day on Wednesday.

As part of this event, better known to some as Dr. Seuss’ birthday, Huntington Mayor Steve Williams along with other members of the community spent the morning reading books to kids from 6 weeks to 5 years old.
