MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Despite the rain, people lined the streets to watch this year’s Firemen’s Parade on Aug. 29.

Benches, chairs, strollers for the children, and folded blankets for two made a colorful display of seating for those who waited eagerly for the 75th year’s “Gigantic Edition of the Famous Firemen’s Parade.”

Some of those who lined the streets in anticipation of the bands and emergency equipment brought their children and their grandchildren with them to share in the excitement. Others said they came because they had family members participating.
