Morgantown area pets visit Santa for a cause

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Jim and Jane Yohn, of Reedsville, were a bit unsure what their hound mix, Maggie, would do.

Their poodle, Rambo, regardless of his name, did just fine.

Maggie, a 6-year-old rescue from South Carolina, ended up being a bit skittish, but overall, well-behaved as she posed for a picture with Santa on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Mountaineer Mall.

Cheryl and Paul Poling, volunteers with Animal Friends of North-Central West Virginia, were in charge of the photo op at the Animal Friends Thrift Shoppe, across from Senior Monongalians, in the mall on Green Bag Road.

The couple said the idea for the photo shoot was mentioned a few years ago. They had a camera and some spare time, and decided to do it…
