BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. — The roughly 240 students at Martha Elementary School commemorated Constitution Day on Wednesday the best way they knew how: A history lesson that ended in a parade and chants of “U-S-A! U-S-A-!”

While national Constitution Day is Thursday, Sept. 17, Martha students wasted no time in learning about the document establishing the 226-year-old government in the United States during a program titled “Shh! We’re Writing the Constitution.”
