FAIRMONT, W.Va. — At noon Saturday, the West Virginia University football team launches its newest season — actually its 125th season all time.
But the word is out that all the fans are not happy. Whether it’s the coach who is entering his sixth year or the fact the Mountaineers are not competing for the Big 12 championship, we do not know.
Let’s examine the situation.
Most people are aware that the Mountaineers are now in the Big 12 Conference — have been for four years — but these same people are aware that West Virginia and the Big 12 do not equal a natural birth.
